Skoll Foundation Latest News

On November 14, Marc Kielburger of Free the Children, a Skoll social entreprenuer, will kick off the 2008 Annual Conference for Social Entrepreneurship hosted by the Laurel Centre for Social Entrepreneurship in Waterloo, Canada.  The Laurel Centre was established last year to assist “both current and potential social entrepreneurs to become more successful by helping them to unite professional business skills with their passion for social change.”  That they’ve asked Marc to start off the conference is nice validation of the success of Free the Children and its relevance as a model of social entrepreneurship.
